Helen is one of the SU’s four Sabbatical Officers (Sabbs) that represent the voice of UAL students, to the University and other organisations. They work to improve the UAL student experience and push for change. The Sabbs work together on campaigns, development and strategic direction of the SU and act as Trustees of the organisation; making sure we are meeting the needs of students.

//ABOUT HELEN'S ROLE
As President, Helen has particular responsibility for the SU’s work in representation & democracy work. She leads the SU’s work on supporting the Student Reps and the Course Rep system. She leads on academic representation and regularly meets with the Universities senior management, and voices student opinion on UAL’s high level committees. Helen sits on the University’s Board of Governors as the Student Governor, and she is the main Spokesperson for the SU.

Helen was SUARTS’ President in 08/09 and was re-elected for this year. She graduated from LCC in 2008 with a BA in Surface Design, before that she completed the Art Foundation Diploma at CSM. See her design work at www.arts.ac.uk/showtime/helengimber.
