► XHIBIT 2012

Xhibit is an open-submission exhibition that aims to present the finest works of art and design from across the University of the Arts London. Work in any medium can be submitted by current students from any college and selections are made by an expert judging panel.

To celebrate 15 years of the competition, Xhibit 2012 will tour to a number of venues, giving the selected artists exposure all over London. Also, JAGUARSHOES COLLECTIVE will be selecting a small number of winners for an exhibition in their flagship venue, DreamBagsJaguarShoes in Shoreditch.

We're catching up with last year's winners to find out how being involved in XHIBIT boosted their profiles and kick started their art career. Read up on last year's winners here.

Please submit your work using the online application form below. Submissions are open from 28th November 2011 and close strictly at 5pm on 30 January 2012. Regulations are as follows:

  • You must be a current UAL student to enter
  • All entries must be original (this can include group and collaborative work)
  • You may submit more than one piece of work, but this must be done by submitting separate application forms. One application form = one piece of work submitted.
  • Please do not send in original pieces of work for your submission. (We cannot be held responsible for loss or damage of work during the judging process)

  • Submissions will only be accepted via the official on-line application form (see below). One image per submission can be uploaded through the application form. You must be logged into the SU website to submit and you must fill in all fields of the application form.

Format:
• Stationary Images: High resolution pdf or jpg (300dpi) at a size of no larger than 145mm wide by 105mm deep. (Please keep stationary images below 4MB in file size).
• Moving Images: Video work must first be uploaded onto a website platform such as youtube or vimeo. The link for the video should then be entered into section 3 of the form AND a still from the video uploaded in section 4.

Failure to submit work in the above format(s) or later than this date will result in a miss entry.

A panel of sabbatical officers and external practicioners will judge all submitted work to ensure that the exhibition is unbiased, impartial and of the highest quality.
