► What we did in 2009

       

WE WANT ARTS LONDON TO GO GREEN ...
 

Students have told us time and time again that they want to see more green things at Arts London and we listen, and now we're taking action ...

During GO GREEN week we will be continuing our campaign to get the University to commit to 5 GO GREEN objectives laid out in the Green Charter:

1. Sufficient recycling facilities should be available at all Arts
    London Sites and all Halls of Residence, with
    consideration also given to specialist recycling e.g.
    textiles, wood at relevant sites.

2. At least one aspect of all courses at Arts London should have Sustainability in the
    learning outcomes, whether this is in the form of a ‘Green Module’ or is
    integrated into the curriculum.
3. Arts London should switch to a Green Energy Provider who supports the
    development of new carbon-free and renewable energy sources for the future.
4. Arts London should commit to a continuing programme of sustainable IT
    development with the aim of reducing overall energy use and pollution.
5. Arts London should provide Bike storage facilities at all sites and showers should 
    be installed on all main sites.

'SIGN' THE PETITON IN SUPPORT OF ARTS LONDON GOING GREENER  ...

In three simple steps you can 'sign' the petition and help our campaign to make Arts London go green ...

1. download the green charter by clicking here

2. take a picture of yourself with the green charter displayed on your screen ... 'here's one we made earlier' as an example'

3. email your picture to green@su.arts.ac.uk with '<INSERT YOUR NAME> wants arts london to go green' in the subject and your picture attached

then ... within 24hrs your picture will appear on this blog ... wewantartslondontogogreen.blogspot.com

To promote our GO GREEN Campaign we painted some brave soles Green and they hit the corridors, workshops, studios, canteens and libraries of Arts London ...
