Course Rep Training: Dates, Times and Locations for the 2011-12 academic year

 

About Course Rep training

Training for Course Reps is provided by the Students’ Union. Course Reps who have been to training will be more engaged and productive in their role. Training topics include, but are not limited to, the below:

• How to be an effective representative
• Where to bring different issues
• How the SU works
• How to communicate with the students you represent
• Equality and Diversity

Attendance at training is compulsory for all Course Reps, and the Union asks that staff help Course Reps attended. The Union is able to send out email reminders to Course Reps whose details are on the system, but there is no better motivator for attendance than a word from a known staff member such as a Course Director.

All Reps who attend training recieve a voucher for £7.40 to cover their travel expenses, and a free T-Shirt.
