Student and Dean forums are an opportunity for the Dean to meet with Course Reps across the School or Faculty. They are facilitated by the Students’ Union in partnership with locally based staff.
The Students’ Union sends out email and SMS (text message) reminders to all Course Reps who are registered. However, attendance is also driven by encouragement from staff in each School or Faculty. If staff are able to encourage Course Reps to attend Student and Dean forums, they are more likely to make a difference while in their role and bring School-level issues to the Dean’s attention.
All Course Reps who attend Student & Dean forums receive a voucher for £7.40 to cover any expenses incurred, such as travel or printing.
In addition to Student & Dean forums, each College runs a forum annually where Course Reps meet with the Head of College. (Chelsea, Camberwell and Wimbledon meet together as CCW.)

Issues Tracking from Forums
At every Forum, the SU and University staff work together to produce written notes of the meeting. These take the form of Issue Tracking sheets, which show the main issues that were discussed at the forum, and any action that was agreed upon. These notes are reviewed at the start of each Forum to ensure that agreed actions are followed-up.
