XHIBIT 09

The Arts Gallery, Student Hub, Davies Street 5th March - 1st April

In its 12th successful year, XHIBIT went green!

This year’s exhibition explored the theme Sustainability and welcomed submissions of both a sustainable, and more traditionally non-sustainable nature.

The work was judged by a panel of UAL Alumni. They were.....

Andrjez Klimowski: A renowned graphic designer and illustrator of posters and book jackets. He is currently Head of Illustration at the RCA.

Nimish Shah: Recent graduate of LCF and winner of the LCF Sustainability Award in 2008.

David Buckland: Having worked as an internationally recognised designer in many mediums including dance & opera, David is more recently known as the founder and director of the Cape Farewell Project, which aims to bring artists, scientists and educators together to collectivley address and raise the awareness about climate change.

Mini XHIBIT

Due to the amount of great work submitted, this year's XHIBIT saw the creation of Mini XHIBIT. Shown at 'we are arts CSM' gallery, Mini XHIBIT showcased a further seven artists who entered XHIBIT 09.

Special thanks to Rayne Perry and April Johnson for curating the exhibition.
